When I was in 4th grade, my mother enrolled me into a charter school called Imagine Academy. An alternative approach to learning, our days were dedicated to spending time creating, gardening, and learning about things that sparked our individual interest.

A friend in the class and I, inspired by pig latin, created an alphabet only we knew how to interpret. I will say, the letters were so obscure, we were concistently unsure of their meaning.

Revisiting this idea, I set out to create a typeface using only simple shapes, as a child might.

Reflecting upon my history as a child and how I used to play was important to me. So much of my time is dedicated to designing for others, with this project, I went back to the beginning, early on when I was too, still a designer.
